Walker Macy’s work at the University of Washington Bothell campus continues with a design-build/ P3 project led by Capstone Development Partners. This transformational project will provide a home for over 1000 students, coupled with dining and amenities to support student life. The project creates a new front door for the University that is transit-oriented and connected to downtown Bothell. Open spaces are designed to express the heart and soul of the campus landscape with unique climate-adapted approaches to forest and meadow establishment. Gathering spaces offer long views to the campus wetlands below, community gardens will engage students directly in food production, and stormwater treatment is integrated with a campus-wide system, supporting wetland recharge.
