Faubion School

Portland Public Schools and Concordia University partnered to re-envision Faubion School as a new type of educational environment. Supported by Concordia’s College of Education, the school will also offer social services for students and families. Because the surrounding neighborhood is mainly residential, the design was developed to balance the needs of the school with privacy for the neighbors while providing an open space for the community. An innovative play area is the focal point of the school’s grounds, providing novel experiences in a compact-park like setting.
