Saumya is an urban designer, artist, writer, language enthusiast, among many other things. She is deeply passionate about sustainability, environmental and social justice, and collaborative planning and visioning. As part of Walker Macy’s planning team, Saumya’s experiences with a diversity of cultures, places, and people around the world have taught her to approach problem-solving with sensitivity and openness in projects with high public interest. Born and raised in Oregon, she spent much of her childhood puttering about outdoors and developing a deep love and respect for the elegant designs that occur naturally in the environment.
