Walker Macy is seeking a landscape architect or landscape designer with 4-8 years of professional experience for our Seattle, WA office to assist in the design and technical development of projects.
Walker Macy is a design firm that provides landscape architecture, urban design, and planning services throughout the Western United States. We focus on public projects such as parks, waterfronts, and campuses, and also have a broad range of work that includes site design for civic and cultural buildings, interpretive centers, and mixed-use development. We have a collaborative team culture with a commitment to innovative design, sustainability, and client relationships.
This position requires a professional degree in landscape architecture (BLA or MLA), a strong sense of spatial design and experience developing design studies, strong graphic representation abilities, and experience producing design development or construction documents for medium or large-scale projects. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated and flexible with strong communication skills, willingness to take initiative and an interest in working as part of a team. Experience coordinating with other design and engineering consultants as well as landscape architectural teammates is essential. Professional experience working in AutoCAD or Revit, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator, and SketchUp or Rhino is required. Knowledge of LandFx and an interest in planting design is also beneficial.
