The Kubota Garden Foundation (KGF) has hired Walker Macy’s team to conduct a stormwater study for 55th Ave S. and the ponds of Kubota Garden, which are part of Mapes Creek. In conjunction with this project, Seattle Parks & Recreation has also engaged Walker Macy to redesign the parking lot and entrance to the Garden. The goal of the project is to develop integrated stormwater improvements that maximize ecological benefits for the Mapes Creek watershed and Rainier Beach neighborhood, reduce maintenance, and enhance the garden experience.
