River View Cemetery

River View Cemetery chose Walker Macy to collaborate on an expansion to the cemetery grounds that will create the first natural burial area in the City of Portland, as well as incorporate trails, overlooks, and a committal shelter. We are committed to providing a thorough and creative approach with a high level of knowledge about local conditions and the stories of River View. Recognized as a Portland landmark that encapsulates our city’s multi-layered history and lore, River View Cemetery occupies a spectacular site above the Willamette River. River View offers an expansive park-like setting where visitors are immersed in nature and in the stories that make Portland what it is today.
