Deschutes Public Libraries

In November 2020 Deschutes County voters supported the Library’s bond measure to expand and improve libraries across the county. The bond will fund the design and construction of a new 100,000-square-foot Central Library to serve all Deschutes County residents, coupling state-of-the-art library services with outdoor areas for community events, play and exploration amid a restored native landscape. The library in downtown Redmond will be replaced with a new building and site that is integrated with the City’s growing civic landscape. Existing libraries in Downtown Bend, East Bend, La Pine, Sisters, and Sunriver will be renovated. Walker Macy is part of the team working with Miller Hull on the design of all these projects.
