Nathan is originally from Camp Point, a small town in central west Illinois, where he explored the creeks, woods, and fields on his grandparents’ farm. This experience gave him an innate appreciation how natural systems are always in flux and any open spaces are filled in with new plants creating new natural relationships. Nathan brings this lens of resilience and lushness to the urban landscape. He has experience working on a range of projects ranging from mixed-use developments and campus design to stormwater infrastructure and outdoor restaurants. He enjoys watching how his projects grow and mature over time informing his future practice.
