Walker Macy is currently working on an Equitable Development Feasibility Study in the Jade District, Portland’s most racially diverse district. The primary client is a community-based organization, supported by a committee of City, regional, transit, and other collaborating agencies. This study includes district-wide mapping of key environmental justice issues, including heat island, housing affordability, and displacement risk, and the final plan will advance community-based development projects in the district that will help to address issues the community has foregrounded.
